Matchweek 10 provided entertaining draws with fixtures that saw Arsenal host Liverpool, Newcastle’s riot at home against Brentford and Manchester City continuing their fantastic form.
Here is how it all went down in the Premier League in Matchweek 10:
AFC Bournemouth 2-1 Leicester City:
Ryan Christie scored his first Premier League goal as AFC Bournemouth rallied from behind to defeat Leicester City 2-1 on Saturday. The loss leaves Leicester in the relegation zone having lost all five of their road games.
Chelsea 3-0 Wolves:
Chelsea recorded their first win in five games against Wolves, thanks to goals from Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, and Armando Broja, as well as a third consecutive Premier League home victory for the first time in over a year.
Manchester City 4-0 Southampton:
City defeated Southampton to take the lead in the Premier League. The Blues scored four goals without reply in a commanding display at the Etihad. The Blues are two points ahead of Arsenal, who have a game in hand, with the champions still unbeaten in the league and cup this season.
Newcastle United 5-1 Brentford:
Newcastle United defeated Brentford 5-0 on Saturday, thanks to a brace from Bruno Guimares, goals from Jacob Murphy and Miguel Almirón, and an own goal from Ethan Pinnock. Following last weekend's 4-1 hammering of Fulham, Eddie Howe's team has now scored nine goals in their previous two Premier League appearances.
Brighton and Hove Albion 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur:
Harry Kane's first-half goal was enough to clinch Tottenham's win over high-flying Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Spurs are currently third in the rankings, three points behind league leaders Manchester City, and their focus will now shift to Wednesday's Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Crystal Palace 2-1 Leeds United:
Crystal Palace defeated Aston Villa in a frantic match at Selhurst Park. Early goals came from Ollie Watkins and Wilfried Zaha, before Zaha and Jean-Philippe Mateta made it three to secure three thrilling points.
West Ham United 3-1 Fulham:
West Ham United came from behind to defeat Fulham 3-1 at London Stadium thanks to goals from Jarrod Bowen and Gianluca Scamacca. West Ham climbed to 13th in the table, one point behind ninth-placed Fulham.
Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool:
Despite being pushed back twice, Arsenal got away with all three points in a thrilling match at Emirates Stadium. Gabriel Martinelli scored in the opening minute, Bukayo Saka added two more to condemn Liverpool to their second Premier League defeat of the season and drop them to the tenth position in the rankings.
Everton 1-2 Manchester United:
Manchester United defeated Everton 2-1, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring his 700th club goal. The result is United's fifth Premier League victory of the season, moving them up to the fifth position in the rankings.
